Our last advisor retired so we sought a new one to manage our pensions

He has been very thorough and explained things really well especially with me as I don’t quite understand some things but he makes sure by the end of our conversations that I am happy with what’s been explained

I am very pleased with the outcome. Ive never felt so safe with monies than I do today all because of Simon

Nothing better everything is excellent

our old advisor retired and we needed someone to sort out our pension and isa

my pension pot has risen consistently a lot more than by the old advisor

I don't know as he's doing a good job

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Some years ago now we had two small pensions that needed the attention of a genuine financial advisor, someone who we could trust to put us on the right road so to speak. We got in touch with Simon when he was with Invest South West, and as he has progressed with his career at Blackdown Financial we have stayed on board for a continuation of sound financial advice .

Over the years with Simons help and advice we have taken some money out of the pot to help us with various projects. All in all the advice has been second to none and given that I am what could be called a cautious investor.

Yes pretty much given the way the markets have behaved especially through the pandemic.

What could they have done better?

I don't believe anything could have been done better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had retired and sold my house in London and purchased one in Somerset and wished to invest surplus funds from these transactions.

Simon was able to provide an investment strategy that met my risk appetite with sufficient visibility of fund performance and without excessive management fees in a tax efficient manner.
