Darren discussed all of the 3 insurances I could take out very clearly and then gave me to time to process the information and discuss it with my husband. He took the time to explain how each one would benefit me and I decided to ask for an amount of cover in each of them, rather than just the life cover.

Darren put together a comprehensive illustration of the 3 insurances, which we further tweaked to make it completely suitable for my current requirements. He then supported me within a meeting to complete the questionnaire.

I had a company pension that urgently needed a way forward. The provider was hard to deal with. We needed independent advice,really wanted someone local. I enquired with Unbiased, Darren was among those listed.

Much of it due to the uncertainty's of the financial markets but also me being fearful of wrong decisions of planning a retirement.I needed some straight advice. I was approaching retirement and I had a number of pension pots that I wanted to combine into a single fund which I then wanted to invest to give me the best possible return.

How has Darren Bilkey helped you?

Darren contacted the various pension schemes on my behalf and provided advise on the best ways to proceed with investment. As part of this exercise Darren found that one of the pension providers had under estimated the value of my pension and got the provider to increase the offer to the correct amount. As part of the advise Darren proposed the use of a financial investment company which has preformed very well over the last few turbulent years and my investment has grown. Combined with this Darren undertook an overall assessment of my financial situation and provided a forecast of my future financial situation. This a has enabled me to plan my retirement with a degree of confidence. We now have scheduled yearly meetings where Darren provides an update on the initial advise.

Based on the investment advise and forecast provided by Darren, I am looking forward to a happy retirement.

Darren took over the management of my portfolio when my first,trusted advisor, retired but who advised me that Darren as very well placed and qualified to do this. My previous financial advisor had every confidence that Darren would be a good replacement able to give the sort of advice and help, that I personally needed and this has proved to be very much the case. He has made sure that I am getting not moly the best value for my investments, but invested in the manner I would prefer, but also importantly is very aware that at ' my age and stage' I need all the help I can get!

My portfolio has been handled as I have asked and I have been able to conitue with the standard of living that I had hopped for, but bearing in mind the long term outcome.

I met Darren for the first time via a Team Meet setup in which I had no functioning webcam or microphone on my PC. Darren quickly found a solution and with his help we spoke using the PC (where I could see him) and my old mobile phone (through which I spoke to him). This told me a lot about Darren's competence, adaptability and initiative -and the succeeding discussion did not let him down. He listens, is clear in his responses, relaxed, reassuring, informed and very intelligent. As a result I came away from the initial meeting with a pretty clear idea of where I stood financially and what my options were. I had a number of pension “pots” and I needed professional advice on how best to invest the various funds to maximise my pension.

How has Darren Bilkey helped you?

Darren reviewed the various funds and not only advised on how best to invest the funds but also managed to find some funds that I was not aware of.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

As a result of Darren’s advice I now have a projected pension income which I am very happy with and there will be yearly reviews to assess whether any changes are required.

I have had a Financial Adviser for over 30 years. My original circumstances were that I needed to set up a personal pension, but over the years, I have had more need of an adviser in terms of life insurance, other investments and mortgages.

How has Darren Bilkey helped you?

I have had a Financial Adviser since 1991. Of the 4 different advisers I have worked with over that period, Darren's advice, insight and understanding of my requirements has exceeded all those before him. He takes time to explain things in my language and is willing to provide as many different illustrations and references as I need. Darren has understood my needs and focused on the areas I wanted to address with good advice and good results.

How has Darren Bilkey helped you?

On first meeting Darren, I was very impressed with how professional he was, while also being very friendly. He most definitely knew what he was talking about, he was in fact very knowledgeable about investments and pensions. He took over my portfolio , and changed it to a much better investment. He moved money from my bank accounts to even better investments. He changed my husbands pension to a much better one. Now he is looking after us in our retirement, with providing us with a very good standard of living for the rest of our lives, from our pensions and portfolios. Quite a task, but he has it all sorted out. My husband and myself, are extremely pleased with all that Darren has, and is, doing for us, and apart from his professionalism he is a really polite and friendly person, we both like him a lot. He makes understanding things that we would normally struggle with, very easy to understand, which in return gives us both confidence! Darren, is highly recommended by us, I honestly think, we could never of done any better, totally satisfied !!
