What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had several work place pensions from previous employers scattered over different places. I wanted to consolidate them into one.

How has Louise Fitzgerald helped you?

She advised how I could do this, but also who would be the best based on my risk profile. I also wanted to invest them in more ethical pots

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, the money is now all in one place, it is easy to view. Louise was so helpful start to finish, she really took the time to make sure I understood what the process was. She even preserved with a particularly stubborn pensions fund I had which wouldn't answer us initially. But all worked out very well!

What could they have done better?

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed more expert and objective advice as I had reached a point in my life where I knew I should have been doing more to safeguard my financial future but also, I was in a stronger financial situation to seek professional support and advice. In addition, I spoke with a friend who had highly recommended Horlock Holdcroft.

How has Louise Fitzgerald helped you?

Louise really took the time to understand my situation through the meetings and conversations we had. This was important given the impact of the pandemic when many long-term plans were thrown into turmoil with changes in my own personal circumstances that I didn't see coming. Prior to that Lousie quickly got a portfolio in place to make sure I was now effectively planning for my future, but also Louise was regularly checking in and together we were discussing and making any relevant changes we felt necessary. What was also particularly helpful was the way Louise spotted other areas and opportunities and came forward with helpful advice and support to follow these through with remarkable success. Without this they would have likely have gone unnoticed by me.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes in that I have the plans in place which gives me reassurance I'm doing the right thing guided by those that have my interests at heart.

What could they have done better?

I can't think of anything where I've thought there was room for improvement to date.

My husband and I had various pensions in different places and we wanted to simplify them and make sure we had the best deal for our circumstances.

Louise looked at our finances as a whole and our attitude to risk and helped us consolidate some of the pensions where appropriate.

Had used a financial adviser for some years but was let down necessitating a change.

Shown constant interest in the portfolio that she manages on behalf of my wife and I. Louise is in regular contact with us regarding recommended changes to and performance of the portfolio with clear and concise process requirements. Everything is conducted within a very acceptable timeframe.

I sought advice on creating a trust fund for my son. Value for money is difficult to gauge as Louise was initially assisting the senior adviser - 'sitting in' was the phrase used at our first meeting - so I assume my payment was at his rate.

I had received a small inheritance and was looking for the best ways to invest for security in the future as well as needing to look at several small pension pots and whether or not to consolidate or leave them as is.
