What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

In my early 50s, when I retired early from thjr Civil Service, to work as afreelance scientific consultant, I for the first time i felt the need to engage in financial planning, beyond managing our day to day family budget and our family home.

How has Michael Blosse helped you?

Michael Blosse is our main souirce of advice concerning investment options, including their tax and long-term implications. Initially he advised us concerning building an investment portfolio during our 50s, for our old age and to help our newly adult children fund university education and then get started on proerty purchase. Now in our 80s, he advises on our current priorities, such as inheritance tax management, planning for care costs and keeping our financial affairs simple, so that we can manage things into our old age.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. Michael is very well informed concerning investments. He responds quickly, impartially and in a friendly manner to our enquiries, and his annual review reports make it easy for us to keep up with events, and plan for the coming year. There have been losses as well as gains, but on balance, his constant reminder to spread investments, has worked well and we have no doubt that following his advice has worked. Finally, we have been using Michael Blosse as our financial adviser for several decades, and we are entirely satisfied with the advice he provides.

What could they have done better?

There could have been fewer losses and bigger gains, but I don't hold Michael responsible for what ultimatly have been our decisions.
