I have been a client of Intelligent Pensions for over 10 years. They were recommended to me by an IFA when I was looking to retire from banking. I’ve always had an excellent, professional service from them in general and Alison in particular.

Alison is just excellent. Knowledgeable and practical, and with a knack of explaining complex topics in simple terms.

Yes. Alison has really helped me navigate the choppy financial waters of the last few years.

It was when I wanted to combine a number of pensions I had built up over the years into one pension plan.

Excellent and what I believe impartial advice on the best investments for my pension plan and combined with good advice in how to start drawing on it now that I am about to retire.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, always hoping for more but in what has been a very turbulent time since the financial crisis I am pleased with the outcome.

What could they have done better?

Apart of always wishing for a better return over the last few years, I think with what I have expressed in the previous answer, I'm not sure they could have done anything better.

Alison Tyne took over from our previous adviser and, although we haven't known her very long, we are confident that the advice she has given us has been beneficial. She has taken considerable time and trouble to explain everything to us in terms that are relatively easy to understand and that are relevant to our needs looking to the future.

Supported by a range of options to implement a flexible pensions strategy tailored to my specific needs, and yet adjustable when circumstances require. The fact that continuity of personal advisor is maintained is very much appreciated and highly valued, and I am able to consult Alison for advice and guidance whenever the need arises. Our scheduled annual review has never been a mere administrative “tick-box” exercise, but a thorough review of my circumstances, and any immediate or foreseeable changes in my needs. Formerly a face-to-face session, the requirement of the pandemic transformed this into a virtual meeting which nevertheless work well and is very effective.

I needed to set up a private pensions account and it came with an annual review. Alison took over from a colleague who had retired but who had not given me an annual review since the account was set up.

How has Alison Tyne helped you?

Since taking over the account, Alison has been pro-active in arranging the annual reviews. In our meetings she reviewed the level of cautiousness in my investment and advised that I could consider being slightly bolder for more speculative return.

My investment is for the longterm so I need to be more patient to see the return that I am hoping to achieve.
