What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
I didn't, my adviser came with Pension's firm.
How has Alison Tyne helped you?
I'd rate Alison as competent, thoughtful and reliable. Recently we went through my annual pensions review and did not find anything of particular concern as the investments seem to be behaving as they should or even better than expected. Althoug with any investments there are good years and not so good ones. The advice and guidance in the past by Alison has been sound and on that basis the returns have been rewarding. I am at a juncture in my life where I don't need my pension investments to perform better or make more money so Alison and I agreed it was not necessary to consider any adjustments. I feel privileged that I can chug along to the right window of opportunity – post April 2027 – to start accessing the pension rather than be panicked now by the government's proposal to include it in our estate for Inheritance tax. I am appreciative of Alison's advise thus far.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
Alison carries out my annual review on behalf of Intelligent Pensions. She has been such a help to me, particularly after the death of my husband Peter over two years ago, giving support and advice more than I would ever have expected. On each visit or phone/video meeting she explains everything so thoroughly but in "non-techi" terms making it clear for us with little or no financial background. I really look forward to her visits and hope that I can recommend her to friends or family should the occasion arise.
