HMRC advice has been a little disappointing through a tax advisor introduced by Matt

Thank you for your review, your feedback is appreciated and I am glad you have been overall happy with the financial advice provided. We refer our clients to reputable accountants for specific tax advice whenever appropriate and although we only recommend those that we have good relationships with, sometimes service levels do not meet our high expectations. I believe HMRC have also exacerbated the frustration in this case due to their restricted telephone helpline. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had inherited an amount of money that I wanted to invest, also I had money from a house sale . I didn't want to buy property again and needed some advise on what and where to put it , to create a bit of profit.

How has Matt Fleming helped you?

Matt has advised me on different Isa's and bonds and keeps an eye on the progress of it. I can ring him if i have any questions and i feel comfortable enough to do this.

Not really this year as it seems to have fluctuated a lot.

Following the death of my husband Matt was recommended to me by a friend and he has been able to trace pensions and investments that belonged to my late husband and help me to invest these carefully and as securely as possible for my future.

Although the investment itself is under performing at the present time, the circumstances are outside Matt's control but the associated advice regarding purchase and sale of properties was nevertheless welcome

Although Matt kept us up to date with process, we thought it took longer than anticipated. It appears pension providers take their time getting the paperwork sorted.

As you have eluded to in your comments, during busy periods sometimes pension providers can be slow to respond to information requests and so, we do our best to keep clients informed of progress. This can be frustrating for both clients and advisers. As whole of market advisers, I do consider service levels when providing all recommendations, to help things to run as smoothly as possible, as I understand this can be a key factor in client satisfaction levels. We were looking for expert advice for my mother after she had sold her house.

Matt has helped my mother to invest money when she moved into semi residential care. I was made redundant in 2021 Matt advised on my redundancy package and the best way to invest my money. Matt has also advised my husband on his pension and helped to put everything in place for his retirement.

Matt came to my house to discuss and advise me on investing an amount of money I had from a sale of a property. I was unsure what to do with the money I had sitting in a bank account. I knew I wanted to invest it but knew nothing about what that meant. Matt provided clear and understandable information and gave me confidence to go forward with the investment. Matt was very professional, friendly , polite and knowledgeable. He is also very patient , as I am not very good with figures , he was able to explain to me the things I didn't fully understand. Too early to say. Matt was very open about potential loss and gains, and challenging economic environment has seen our pensions drop but we’re confident that Matt is guiding us well and that the market will improve before retirement in a couple of years, so we’re hopeful.
