What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had a private pension that was dead and basically worth about £17,000.00.

How has Matt Fleming helped you?

Matt comes across as a very genuine Family oriented type of guy , pleasant to deal with and explains things in an easy to understand way. Matt advised me to start the Pension going again with a small amount invested each month to show me that we could build it up into something useful towards my retirement.. I think it has been about 6 years or so with a regular invested amount that I was comfortable with and wouldnt notice. On top of that you get the extra money from the Government that really does help to boost the fund.. Money for nothing as they say. I always planned to take the 25% lump sum at the age of 55 and then the regular monthly payment.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The way the money in my pot has grown has been amazing. I am now retiring from work at the young age of 56 with a good Lump sum tax free and a nice regular monthly payment. This would not be possible without the Pension pot and all thanks to Matt Fleming for his advise and management of my money. I would recommend Matt to anybody looking for Financial advice , without a doubt. Brilliant service all round.

What could they have done better?

Nothing.. 5* all the way.

Since my last review I retired from my full time job. Now into 12 months retirement, and following Matt advice, I am extremely happy with my retirement plan. Looking to work less and decide what to do with pensions. Post pandemic I liquidated some property and wanted help in the best way to gain an income from the capital.

How has Matt Fleming helped you?

He laid out my options for pensions based on tax efficiency and potential growth. He has created an investment portfolio that is revised each year and has been changed in response to changes on tax allowances. He's great at explaining all the options in terms I can understand and always builds in times for questions and queries.

Yes. I have a steady income from a range of investments and one work pension that allows me to choose how much paid employment I do. I feel well informed and kept up to date about changes that would impact on me.

Thank you for your review, your feedback is appreciated and I am glad you have been overall happy with the financial advice provided. We refer our clients to reputable accountants for specific tax advice whenever appropriate and although we only recommend those that we have good relationships with, sometimes service levels do not meet our high expectations. I believe HMRC have also exacerbated the frustration in this case due to their restricted telephone helpline. I had inherited an amount of money that I wanted to invest, also I had money from a house sale . I didn't want to buy property again and needed some advise on what and where to put it , to create a bit of profit.

Following the death of my husband Matt was recommended to me by a friend and he has been able to trace pensions and investments that belonged to my late husband and help me to invest these carefully and as securely as possible for my future.

As you have eluded to in your comments, during busy periods sometimes pension providers can be slow to respond to information requests and so, we do our best to keep clients informed of progress. This can be frustrating for both clients and advisers. As whole of market advisers, I do consider service levels when providing all recommendations, to help things to run as smoothly as possible, as I understand this can be a key factor in client satisfaction levels. We were looking for expert advice for my mother after she had sold her house.

Matt has helped my mother to invest money when she moved into semi residential care. I was made redundant in 2021 Matt advised on my redundancy package and the best way to invest my money. Matt has also advised my husband on his pension and helped to put everything in place for his retirement.

Matt came to my house to discuss and advise me on investing an amount of money I had from a sale of a property. I was unsure what to do with the money I had sitting in a bank account. I knew I wanted to invest it but knew nothing about what that meant. Matt provided clear and understandable information and gave me confidence to go forward with the investment. Matt was very professional, friendly , polite and knowledgeable. He is also very patient , as I am not very good with figures , he was able to explain to me the things I didn't fully understand. I feel better now that I have Matt to turn to if I need help and advise in the future, and I feel that I can trust him to do his best to help my investment grow,

We’d be let down by a previous advisor, and Matt was recommended to us.

Pension investments and retirement planning. Helping us to work through our appetite for risk, and our short and longer term financial goals.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Too early to say. Matt was very open about potential loss and gains, and challenging economic environment has seen our pensions drop but we’re confident that Matt is guiding us well and that the market will improve before retirement in a couple of years, so we’re hopeful.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Integrity and trust were our highest priorities in selecting an Advisor. Matt has been open and honest throughout our relationship, respectfully challenging us on how reasonable our future aspirations are, when needed. He’s been very helpful in guiding us and very responsive to queries.
