Ian left the civil service in 1989 to pursue a career in financial services and has never looked back. He joined Legal & General as an adviser for a year, before moving to Lloyds TSB, where over 13 years he rose to the level of Financial Planning Manager, working mostly in the Weston super Mare area. Ian has been a financial adviser for over 23 years, the last 11 as an Independent Financial Adviser. He holds the Diploma in Financial Services, and is now a fully accredited member of the Society of Later Life Advisers, specialising in helping people plan for Care and Later life decisions. Ian has always lived in Somerset, is married with two children and is a keen supporter of Bath and England rugby. Ian was a school governor for six years, serving as vice-chair for four years.
