What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We had endowments that had matured and we needed to invest the money sensibly and also to get our pensions reviewed to see if they needed to be moved etc.

How has Cliff Pocock helped you?

Cliff was very thorough in explaining all our options and in finding out what we were looking for. He developed a plan with various options and then went through these options with us.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

It is early days yet with regards to our investments, but we have amalgamated our pension funds to hopefully get the best return for our retirement.

What could they have done better?

Not having really used a financial advise before, it is difficult to say what he could have done better. We were very pleased with the information we were given.

Not completely - I'm still alive. But the seven-year period has been successfully overcome and prospects are looking good. Would not have been able to achieve this without confidence in the advice I was given.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

In 1997 I started my own business and wanted a Financial Adviser and Cliff was recommended to me by my Accountant and I was looking for advice on many aspects of Mortgage, Pension and Inheritance for my children.

Cliff was always aware of my Financial needs and goals for the future. Cliff also explained each subject we spoke about. This gave me confidence in the direction for the finances.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I have now retired,and the advise given to me has put me in a secure position for my retirement enabling me to enjoy this period in my life. Also, the advise given in the event of my death gives my wishes for my two daughters.

What could they have done better?

As far as I am concerned I have been steered in the right way for me to achieve in all aspects.

Cliff has provided advice in relation to my employers pension scheme and a wide range of personal investment products and personal insurances as part of my on-going retirement planning.

Cliff provided very clear and understandable advice and recommendations over a number of years.. The follow up process i.e. the application form completion and so on was made simple and very professionally handed.

I am very happy with all the recommendations given which were well suited to my needs and situation. I feel much more in control of my financial situation. Cliff has also recommended better value and more wide ranging policies than those I held previously.

1. To put protection on place. 2. To make better use of funds from a profitable Ltd Company. 3. To structure our pension provision to enable purchase of Commercial property.

How has Cliff Pocock helped you?

Cliff undertook a detailed 'fact find' on our financial circumstances, producing an in-depth report and action plan on the best way to proceed. First were insurances with explained recommendations and proposals. Next came the restructuring of legacy pension schemes into a SIPP to allow the purchase of commercial property and therefore better use of disposable Ltd company profits. Currently we're investigating investment opportunities for future growth. Cliff has a very real talent for explanations that are pitched at just the right level for the client to understand. His knowledge of financial services is extensive and and his patience with 'daft questions' (which we've tested on more than one occasion !) is very good indeed.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, totally. While we still have a number of actions to complete, Caroline and myself feel so much more comfortable with our position now than we did a year ago.

What could they have done better?

It really is difficult to think of anything. Although we've really only small investors, we're always made to feel important and Cliff is always on top of any issues that crop up. We really are delighted with the service we've received.

I contacted Cliff at Ward Williams many years ago wanting to make the most of the income I had, mainly for retirement and investment purposes.
