I had a lump sum from my DB pension pot and needed advice on the best way to invest it. I also had a DC pension pot and needed advice on how best to deal with it. In addition, I had a number of different ISAs and wished to rationalise them.

Gareth assisted me in unifying my ISAs and investing them in a stocks & shares ISA. He also found an appropriate investment for the lump sum from my DB pension pot and was able to advise on the best way forward with my DC pension. Gareth and his team have always been very approachable and he has dedicated a lot of time to understanding my financial circumstances as well as my aspirations for the future.

He was not available within 4 weeks so I went with his colleague Elliot. I had a phone meeting with Elliot and I asked him questions which he mostly answered but did not really have a good reason why I should go with him over another IFA and felt he was a bit annoyed with answering such questions. I need someone more client focused.

Following the receipt of an inheritance following the death of my parents it was important to ensure the funds, were significant but needed to be looked after well, it certainly was not an amount whereby I could give up work.

How has Gareth Rees helped you?

Gareth provided a variety of options, which was very helpful, particularly never having had this amount of money before. Gareth knows what he is talking about and can explain complicated finances in a language that makes sense. As a consequence, I asked him to explain to my daughters about mortgages and they came away truly understanding the process.

Gareth not only has a gift in explaining finances but delivers on the outcomes. I have recommended someone who knew a lot about finances and even he said Gareth taught him something new. I could not recommend Gareth more highly.

I had two very small pensions which prior to retirement I wanted to consolidate. I reviewed several financial advisors in the srea nI worked nand decided on Gareth Rees after a personal meeting with him.

Although the amount was small, I think around £30,000, he gave me as much of his time to ensure that I fully understood everything as if I had ten times the amount.
