My recent experience of having Martin support my search for a new mortgage was fantastic, and frankly astounding, given the terrible macro-economic turmoil which was unfolding. I was working with a different broker, when the mortgage markets started to turn. I became disheartened that I could achieve what I needed to, given the mortgage products were shrinking almost daily.

Some friends suggested Martin to me, and I offered him the opportunity (challenge) to help me secure the best mortgage I could. I can honestly say that Martin worked tirelessly, quickly and was very responsive throughout the process. Yes, Martin has got my the mortgage offer that I was after, and also built a set of income protection products that I am very happy with.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We were getting our first mortgage but we were unsure of all of the banks that provided mortgages and I am self employed so getting the right advice was imperative.

I would like to say this about Martin, if you are not using him for financial advise/ getting a mortgage you are not giving yourself the best opportunity to succeed. Martin spent countless times on the phone and over email answering all our questions and handholding us through the whole process.

I was looking for a mortgage advisor who wasn't tied in to any particular estate agency or lender but could search across the market to find a deal which was best for my circumstances. I spoke with a few different agents but as soon as I spoke with Martin I knew he was the right person to help me. He spoke with a genuine passion about his work, helped me understand the different options and made recommendations which were entirely appropriate to what I was trying to achieve financially.

Most importantly, Martin gave me the confidence that I could trust his advice though being able to explain the different options and financial impact of my decisions, and through being transparent with what he was recommending of me.
