What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

During my working life I had saved money in several different ISAs, fixed term bonds, etc. I left work before retirement age, and had a personal pension from there plus a couple of smaller ones that I had opened. I was in need of advice as to what action to take with all these different investments.

He enquired about my lifestyle and goals I wanted to achieve and importantly my attitude towards risk and then put forward his suggestions as to what to do and where to invest. I am happy with the outcome, although obviously the events over the last few years have taken their toll somewhat. However, I have learned not to try not to worry and to look at the long term.
