I initially looked for an adviser when I started earning more and wanted to put the money to work for the future.

How has Lloyd French helped you?

As a former trader I have some understanding of markets and risk. Lloyd French helped me by having the time and patience to talk through plans with me and explain at length.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, I am very satisfied with the outcome.

What could they have done better?

I had my own cash flow model that I developed that takes into account all retirement considerations. Lloyd French has a similar model that we have gone through and I have viewing access to. It could only be better if I had the ability to use it for my own scenario analysis.

he has given me a clear view of my options and sound advice under difficult financial circumstances ie Covid, downturn in economy, cost of living crisis...

yeas and no. External factors have not been favorable, but the trend is towards a better return soon.

I don't think so. The state of the economy has certainly challenged us all in any decision making.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Having had a full career and many posts I had accumulated a lot of different pension benefit's, Lloyd was able to bring it altogether and make sense of it for me.

How has Lloyd French helped you?

I held a healthy scepticism around financial planning, Lloyd was a recommendation to me from a relation and he was able to show me the benefits of bringing my pensions together.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I have been a client of Lloyd's in excess of 10 years and prior to the downturn this last year in stock markets have been very satisfied with the performance

I do not know what they could improve upon, I have found whenever I need something communication both with Lloyd and especially the team behind him has been very good.

Helpful, friendly advice. Lloyd provides options for our investments and shows us where our savings are working and where they could be improved.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Overall yes. Some investments have crashed, over the years. Those situations seem to have been turned around, with time.

What could they have done better?

Perhaps more frequent reviews, so that it doesn't feel like we are rushing to invest funds before the cut-off date for each tax year.

Lloyd was recommended to me by my solicitor and explained all the various issues. concerns and options relating to Inheritance Tax (IHT), very patiently and clearly, with no sense of rush. He offered to prepare an outline proposal and this was exactly what I needed to enable my family to consider the options and decide on the best path to follow. I could sense that he was not following a formula and was considering my case on its own merits and with regard to finding the best solution for me and my family.

Newly divorced and retired. Only very limited personal experience of finances, savings & investments as my ex husband always dealt with those things.

He helped me assess my financial needs & future plans and how cautious I wanted to be with investing my capital. Took into account my pensions income in the light of being retired & what I could reasonably invest for the longer term.

“Lloyd has provided me with advice on bespoke investment schemes over the past ten years. He researches the market regularly and carries out extensive due diligence to ensure he sources sound investments that suit our needs. Normally, Lloyd will then meet with our accountants to discuss his recommendations and make sure they are suitable. Once he has their approval, he will then sit down with us and go through his recommendations in detail. It is then up to us to decide whether we want to go ahead. The research and due diligence Lloyd carries out are an essential part of the process and gives us confidence in his recommendations. We wouldn’t be putting our money into these investments and our accountants certainly wouldn’t allow us to go ahead otherwise.”
