It was an area that I was not fully qualified in and also wanted to ensure that any financial decisions I was making were going to benefit me in the long term aswell as the short term.

Having a view of both short and long term finances has helped me plan and also be aware of my overall financial position. We have reviewed all areas of my finances from review of budgets, savings and investments to pensions. The regular check ins have ensured that advice is still aligned to my requirements and life situation.

At least 20 years ago I inherited money which required careful management. At this time we went to Bank House Financial Planning to support this. Cameron has been our specific adviser for the last five years.

How has Cameron Fox helped you?

To begin, it is really beneficial to have the same financial adviser year on year. A relationship develops and there is continuity. My last meeting with Cameron was last week (early November). He approachable, polite and respectful. My knowledge of all things financial is poor so it is really beneficial to be advised by someone with extensive knowledge and who is able to explain in simple terms we understand. Cameron's advice has always been clear and helpful. It was also obvious that he had come to the meeting prepared, knowing about my portfolio and what needed to be reviewed and discussed. There has never been any pressure to invest money we didn't want to. As Cameron left the meeting I had a clear idea of what needed to be done next and when. I was very happy with the way the meeting went.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The present financial climate does not give anyone the outcomes they would like. I think, however, that my portfolio is well managed with regular proactive reviews and the best possible outcomes have been achieved given the circumstances. I also know and understand what needs to happen next and the impact this will have on my future.

I was very happy with the Financial Review Meeting. I was very grateful that Cameron offered to come out to my home this time and I hope this will continue.

Cameron has helped explain things I did not fully understand and advice me of the ups and downs of some of the investment I had considered particularly as to tax and inheritance implications. He has advised me on risk and losses. I am sure in the future he will guide me with out pressure to further invest and is prepared to tackle some of my straight talking questions.

The markets have been very depressed since I invested during Covid and Ukrainian war but I am hopeful that this will improve as I have invested for a 5 year plan.
