What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I am 58 years old now. My wish is to be able to retire earlier than 65 and I wanted the advice of an independent financial advisor to allow me to understand my financial position.

How has Nabil Kazi helped you?

Firstly Nabil contacted me after I had approached Unbiased.com. I wanted a trusted independent advisor which Unbiased.com would recommend to me. Nabil has been excellent for me. I am a fairly anxious person anyway but when it comes to my life savings and assets I really wanted someone who could guide me through some important decisions. Nabil has answered so many questions that I have put to him in a very calm and professional manner. My knowledge of my financial position is totally clear now after Nabil has helped me consolidate some of my pensions. He has also advised me to move a Stocks and Shares ISA that I had. I now have one where my investments are being managed depending on the markets which is far better than what I had.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We have not quite completed the process of transferring everything but we are very close. Nabil keeps me updated when appropriate and I have been very satisfied that I am fully informed with the progress of my assets. I am looking forward to having one portal (via an app called Vero) where I can see all my assets in one place as opposed to them being with separate pension funds. The Vero app is very user-friendly and it also allows me to add additional money into my investments if I have any surplus funds at the end of the month.

What could they have done better?

I seriously cannot criticise any aspect of the service Nabil has provided me. He has provided me with a clear path to achieving my goal of an early retirement and I can monitor whether I am on course to do this. He has met my brother and daughter during our initial meetings in which we established my future wishes and expectations for myself and my daughter. My brother and siblings are very pleased that, with Nabils guidance, my financial future is on the right path. The most important thing is that I trust Nabil. In a matter of months I have met him a number of times and exchanged many emails. Nabil has informed and educated me. I feel far more secure (emotionally) knowing that I have a trusted financial advisor to help me achieve a healthy future for me, my partner and my daughter.

I had been made redundant, needed to sort out my pensions as I was due to retire within the year
