As an Ex Serviceman going through an acrimonious divorce I was hit from all sides with financial difficulties I did not expect. Then my bank of 40 years cut my credit and just would not give the help I needed. My life was upside down and it genuinely was not my fault.
How has Michael Welton helped you?
Michael and his team assessed my needs and very quickly and even with a mountain of difficulties found me a great mortgage deal. Even when my estranged wife tried to deliberately obstruct the mortgage Michael's team helped move things forward.

Not only did I get the mortgage I desperately needed I got a cash bonus in time for Christmas. While I still have a divorce to get through I have a great place to rebuild my life from, better than I could have hoped for.

I initially went for advice to see if we were on the right track and Michael helped create a structured plan for us, and regularly checked in to see how things were coming along. Michael researched the mortgage deal market quickly and efficiently and provided sound advice all the way through. We also looked at my pension pot to possibly transfer but at the time we decided to leave this for a later date.

Yes, it was a challenging situation to get the remortgage in place in time and at times frustrating for both Michael and myself to chase the mortgage provider but Michael continued to push and providing a very good service and kept me up to date regularly and managed to get everything arranged as he set out to do. Will have no hesitation about working with him again.
What could they have done better?
Nothing really as some of the issues we encountered were down to the mortgage lender being extremely slow but as I have said Michael continued to chase them and completed the mortgage.

As a single working Mum, I have struggled massively with my finances over the past 10 years and had many a sleepless night! What I would say to anyone though is do not continue to struggle on your own, do not ignore the letters asking for money, but mostly talk to Michael! I have, on many occasions, been at the point where I could not see a light at the end of the financial tunnel. I’ve had endless months in the past worrying about how I would make the numbers balance and battling companies chasing me for money. My daughter’s father vanished from the family home, that we had a joint mortgage on, when she was just 18 months old. The mortgage fell into arrears for several months. After a few months, I moved tenants into the property to cover the mortgage but continued to battle with my mortgage company, Santander, including two repossession court cases for the arrears for the next 8 years later. My health suffered; I ended up having intensive medical tests for what turned out to be stress-induced palpitations. I wasn’t sleeping at all and would be awake night after night worrying about money. In 2017, after a three year case, Medway Court finally agreed to allow the sale of the shared property without the signature of my ex partner. However, at this point, I didn’t know where my daughter and I would move next. I had arrears, credit and was spending way above my means with no financial support for my daughter other than my own earnings. I didn’t think I had a hope at all of getting a mortgage on a new property of my own. I found my financial situation embarrassing but mostly stressful but was well aware, having had this drilled in to me by my Dad, that the worst thing to do is to bury your head in the sand. After my first appointment, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders; Michael was professional and very transparent with what would and would not be possible. Most excitingly, he was even confident he would not only be able to help me out of the situation but get me a mortgage on a place of our own for my daughter and I. Michael really does go the extra mile to make sure you have the best result possible. He has analysed every area of my income and expenditure to the penny (and even suggested that I reduce my frivolous Amazon spending!). His service and communication throughout the whole process has been outstanding. Michael always keeps you in the loop and, rather than dealing with a big company directly where you can struggle to get hold of someone, he is always at the end of the phone and responds as soon as he can to any emails or concerns.

My daughter and I now have a place of our own we can call home and I really don’t see how we would be here without Michael and WPP Financial Services. I now worry so much less financially knowing that he is always there to provide advice. Michael does literally change lives and has near enough saved mine! I do not only recommend WPPFS but urge anyone who has not had an overview of their finances or remortgaged in the last couple of years to contact him. If you have any money worries at all, talk to Michael! It has made such a difference to us and we are so, so thankful.

I am a property developer with a small buy to let portfolio. I decided to refinance two buy to let properties in order to purchase a house at auction. Initially I looked on line, this lead to 2/3 month wild goose chase including two failed surveys. Both properties turned out to be HMO’s under recent legislation and I clearly needed specialist help. On the recommendation of my next door neighbour I made an appoint with Michael Welton. Upon meeting Michael it was immediately apparent he was on top of his brief. He identified who would lend on my properties and set about gathering all the necessary information and completing the application forms. Everything ran smoothly, surveys where carried out and mortgage offers where issued. One of the mortgages has completed and the second one will complete in the next week. I first met Michael on May 2nd, he has delivered everything he said he would. I could not recommend him more highly. He is a specialist mortgage broker with an excellent understanding of the mortgage market.

On behalf of my family I would just like to thank WPP Financial Services, for helping us buy our new home. To say our circumstances were difficult is an understatement. Michael Welton has been a complete rock throughout the process, and extremely professional in everything he has done for us. We just found the company so supportive, and when the mortgage approval actually came through, Mr Welton was just as happy as us. Many times myself and my wife, believed the mortgage would not go through, but Mr Welton told us he would find us the mortgage we needed, and he has totally delivered on his promise. It took us about 6 months to find the perfect home, and the right mortgage, and I would regularly call Michael up thinking the worst, but by the end of the call I had been reassured. He almost became my Agony Aunt. We will continue to use the company to re-mortgage, as they basically do all of the hard work for the customer. They take all the pressure away, and in many ways made it an enjoyable experience. We are forever grateful to the company, and not only have we gained a mortgage and our new home, but we have gained a friend in Michael.
