Mother in Law expressed an interest in releasing funds to give to her daughter.

How has Neil Barsby helped you?

He clearly explained all the options, did not rush, ensured that she and we fully understood what the options were and what they meant, allowing us to be in a fully informed position to agree to his recommendation and progress. Its a rather long-winded process, so having someone with a sense of humour and essentially a real person dealing with it put everyone at ease - rather than being treated like a number in some corporate machine. We are all really pleased with him and the service he provides, and would recommend him to anyone.

Absolutely, with all the changes in the financial market, the property itself having some issues, he was able to find her/us a great solution.

Neil has been fantastic from word go ! He has been extremely patient with me as I’m a first time single buyer so all completely new to me ! Also run a business with crazy hours so getting him everything he needed I was quite slow with but he again he was patient and pushed me to get it done as soon as I could ! Neil also managed to access my retained profits from my first years LTD company books which 3 other brokers were unable to do before I found Neil ! Would highly recommend Neil !

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

With my wife passing in the previous year my children told me to release some cash from the house and do something that will get me out more. They did not want me languishing at home, rattling around on my own. So, I decided to raise some cash with a lifetime mortgage that will purchase a new touring caravan in the short term and a motorhome in the longer term. I'm now frequently found touring the U.K and next summer - France. It worked!! I've joined groups and met with many new friends that enable me to do just as my family requested.

How has Neil Barsby helped you?

Neil was brilliant, he helped through the maze of different options that I could choose and explained in slow understandable language how each would benefit me. This is not an instant process where you just tick a few boxes but an in-depth process that covers all bases and ensures that the route to cash that you are taking is the correct one. Neil was very thorough and made sure that I ended up with the correct package to suit my needs.

Just want to say a long overdue thank you to Neil Barsby at Asquith financial Services, one of the members on here. I'm due to have my first football match back tomorrow evening after months out after breaking my foot. I ended up having 5 weeks off work and being self employed it cost me a small fortune. I decided to take out income protection to cushion some of the blow financially if anything similar happened again. To say I'm lethargic in terms of getting things like this done is an understatement but this man went above and beyond in terms of organising me and my policy and getting things where they needed to be. I honestly can't see how the time he put in to me and my situation was worth the financial benefit to himself so although the term "professional" is coined a lot in terms of reviews that have been requested, it perfectly describes him and his business and this review wasn't requested at all.
