We use Richard when we we are looking to buy our first house. We were also going to use a couple government schemes and wanted somebody with a bit of knowledge to support. We have also used Richard to remortgage.

How has Richard Dalgleish helped you?

Richard was super helpful, explain the process from start to finish, he explained additional costs and insurances around buying your first house. He explained how different offers worked and which ones were appropriate and suitable for us.

Richard took time to understand my needs and desired outcomes. Richard discussed the different options available to me, the different positives and negatives of each option which gave me the opportunity to make an informed decision. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process and I never felt 'in the dark' at any point. Even when Richard had completed his specific role in the process, and the matter was with solicitors for completion, I still received communication from Richard to confirm where the process was and to establish if he could be of any further help or if I had any questions he may be able to help with.

As a single first time buyer, I was looking into the possibility of a Shared Ownership property and was after advice on affordability.

How has Richard Dalgleish helped you?

Richard spent time talking through my situation and discussing my options. He walked me through the whole process and helped to answer every question that I had along the way. Particularly as a first time buyer, this service was invaluable. Richard assessed how much I could afford for a mortgage, found me the best deals for my situation and talked through insurances and recommendations. Everything was one step at a time, which kept things moving forward without feeling overwhelming.

Yes, I managed to work through and understand the process, which was most important to me, when making a first large financial commitment. Richard found a good mortgage lender that suited my needs. He also found a number of insurance options and explained the benefits of each. The process all went through a lot more quickly and smoothly than I'd expected.

I was building a house and once it was finished I needed help converting everything to a mortgage.

How has Richard Dalgleish helped you?

Richard did everything for me to get this done. First of all he listened to what my project was and gave me some great advice on what to do at every stage of the process. I really had no idea about the process, but Richard does and he did a fantastic job at breaking it all down for me in easy to comprehend steps. Not only this, but he helped with any questions I had during the whole process and for some of the really tricky stuff he put in a great deal of leg-work to get the answers we were looking for.

Yes. I couldn't be happier with the result from all of this.

What could they have done better?

This is an interesting one - because he essentially did everything what was needed along the way to help me out. This resolved to having to explain things several times for me to understand them - again - I had no clue about this complex process. I guess one thing that could help would perhaps be a summary email that follows up every meeting.

Not really, there were delays and we had to submit far more duplicates of our earnings etc and details than seen necessary, but I suspect this is more to do with the mortgage companies.
