Our fixed rate mortgage was up. We needed to renew our mortgage. We knew interest rates were going up everywhere so we needed an advisor that knew their stuff.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was fortunate to find Simon a few years ago when he responded to my plea for help after I’d got myself into a terrible mess with credit card debt. At that time he not only sorted out my finances so that my debt was consolidated into an affordable mortgage payment, he also helped me to sort out all the admin necessary, something I find overwhelming and difficult and why I’d got into that mess in the first place. He helped me again recently to secure a loan to enable me to do some much needed work on the house.
