What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I have had some complex problems with my property which have made it very difficult to sell it over the past few years and so I decided to remortgage and release equity to enable me to buy another property and move. Lucy helped me throughout the entire process and has also spent a lot of her time offering advice in the past as well.

How has Lucy Watts helped you?

My circumstances were complicated, involving two mortgages, two sets of solicitors and three separate transactions that all had to happen on the same day. Lucy guided me through the entire five-month process - which spanned the mini budget pushing interest rates higher day-by-day, a bank that took an extremely long time to approve my mortgage, and included one solicitor that was terrible at communicating and another who couldn't locate my deposit money on the day!! She was great throughout the whole process, I couldn't have done it without her.

Yes, absolutely.

What could they have done better?

Lucy was great, generous with her time, quick to respond and supportive throughout the entire process. She even chased the solicitors for me on the day where the re-mortgage, exchange and completion all had to happen simultaneously to make sure that everything slotted into place. We where buying our first home and all the checks and insuarnce that is neede for obtaining a morgage.

I can not stress how much Lucy helped making buying our first home possible. At the point we met Lucy we were pulling our hair out trying to work with real estate agents and their 'friends' who did mortgage applications. Dreadful experience. Lucy turned this around, moved things forward, providing the clarity, ensuring we understood the liability, insurance needs and professionalism that were sorely missed. Lucy was a savoir, straight talk, but gives all the clarity needed to make an informed decision. She knows the market for mortgages well and the insurance providers that are needed. She kept it all very professional even when disappointment struck, she stuck with us time and again when a sale fell through. We had returned to the UK after living abroad and required a mortgage and some financial advise. Lucy was recommended to us by a close friend.

Lucy met with myself and my wife to assess our financial status and the right mortgage arrangement for us based on this meeting Lucy was able to arrange a mortgage for us with a lender. I was worried about getting a mortgage with our time spent abroad and my age. Lucy was very reassuring and confident that it would not be a problem. This is the second time Lucy has helped me purchase a property. There were added factors that i wasn't aware of initially but Lucy explained everything thoroughly, was understanding of the whole situation and also very efficient in getting the ball rolling. Her advice was not only clear and accurate, she would go the extra mile (and more) to make sure things stayed on track and make sure the deal got over the line, which without her perseverance and determination im not sure we would have got there. As already mentioned Lucy was very understanding of our situation and throughout the purchase her personal touch shows she cares about each client and making sure things get done. Cant recommend enough and will continue using Lucy for any future mortgage/property needs!

Where we had some issues that was causing the process to slow, she problem solved and chased things up on our behalves.
