We wanted to get on the property ladder and thought it was impossible for us. We are a self-employed, single-income household and all the stories suggest it's harder for people in our situation.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We were looking to purchase a home but had some reservations, so needed some sound mortgage advice. Michael was recommended to us!

How has Michael Margai helped you?

Michael gave us the assurances we needed and booked an appointment to go through our finances. Michael thoroughly explained all the options available and clearly went through the figures, including all the associated costs and fees we would need to pay. I really appreciated not only the information Michael provided but his encouragement and enthusiasm. I took a few more months to consider our options, save a little more money and look for potential properties. I then came back to Michael to proceed. He picked up right where he left off and even went the extra mile to obtain the right mortgage for the term we wanted.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes! We found the home we wanted and despite some delays on the seller's side due to probate, we finally completed on the property last week. Michael was amazing. I loved the way he walked the whole journey with us and made us feel as though we were in it together and he wanted this for us as much as we did. His enthusiasm and excitement when our offer was accepted, when the mortgage offer came in when probate was granted and when we exchanged and completed. He did not waiver in his support throughout. Michael then took the time to help with insurances for the house and protection for the mortgage too.

What could they have done better?

Nothing... Michael did a fabulous job! It was an absolute pleasure to have him right by our sides throughout this journey
