Fixed rate term was coming to end on mortgage, so wanted to get the best deal for the coming years.

How has Paul Newman helped you?

Paul was absolutely great. He did all the hard work for us and broke everything down in terms I could understand. I also really valued how Paul found us not only the best deal for now, but a deal that would allow us to get a favourable rate in the even longer term. I would absolutely recommend Paul to friends or family looking to remortgage.

Yes. We're locked in to a favourable rate for another 2 years, and are in a good position to get another good rate when that runs out.

Honestly, nothing. Paul did everything he said he would do within the agreed timeframes, and always made himself available (even outside of office hours) to answer any queries I had. He was fantastic.

I appreciated meeting Mr Newman in person the first time we met. This provided a very strong and trustworthy relationship. We subsequently met an another occasion for a subsequent mortgage. I think it would be good to meet to discuss things in person. sometimes emails can get lost and/or take away the personal touch. Mr Newmans is a very charismatic man that's not easy to detect by email correspondence.

I needed a professional to assist with a complex BTL remortgage involving a transfer of equity.

How has Paul Newman helped you?

Paul found an excellent BTL mortgage deal, arranged for additional solicitors to take care of the transfer of equity element, and provided continuous assistance and guidance throughout the process. There were some complexities involved, and at times where disconnects occurred between the lender, their solicitors, and my solicitors dealing with the TR1, Paul would step in, leveraging his expertise to get the job done.

We did. While the process took a little longer than expected, without Paul’s intervention and expertise we’d have lost a great deal more time. Paul created real value for us and I have actively recommended his service to friends and colleagues.

Paul did an amazing job. We are first time buyers and he sat down with us for about 2 hours initially and explained everything in the most basic way so we were able to really understand the process from start to finish. He made us feel really comfortable asking even the silliest questions ("there are no silly questions" he would say) and so helped us know what to expect. All throughout (which took about 9 months from that initial meeting) Paul was readily available to help liaise with various agencies as well as help put the different stages in context. He found us a brilliant deal that worked around our budget and also linked us with a company that sorted our life insurance.

Paul knows EVERYONE in the industry; mortgage lenders, banks and insurance protection agencies, and helped me find the right mortgage for my needs. He managed my fears and questions during the process, and helped me to not make critical mistakes along the way. He helped me do everything from figure out the right documentation to brokering my deal. He advised and didn't pressure me to accept something I didn't want.

The overall outcome was that I got a mortgage during a global pandemic and am able to buy a house that is affordable and in some respects more than I could have hoped for.
