What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Our fixed term mortgage was coming to the end of the term and we needed to arrange a new one.

How has Andrew Quinn helped you?

Andrew and his team found the right mortgage & mortgage lender for us and kept an eye on the changing interest rates, making sure that we would be getting the best rate possible. As soon as the rates came down further, which happened just before our old mortgage term ended and the new one started, they rearranged the new one so that we could take advantage of the better interest rate. In doing so, they have saved us a lot of money.

I was referred to Andrew by one of my colleagues who had recently dealt with Andrew for their own mortgage requirement. I was told by my own lender to secure the better rates I would need to apply via a broker rather than direct.

Andrew secured me a better rate on my mortgage than I could achieve dealing direct wit the lender. He looked at alternatives in the market and gave great advice.

Initially I was remortgaging one flat, then buying another and then remortgaging the second one, 2 years later

Andrew knew that my London flat was due for remortgage in august 2023 and we anticipated a big increased in the monthly payments. Andrew looked into this in advance for me, in December 2022, and found a great deal with my existing provider, which he locked in at the point. He had saved me hundreds a month by doing this, as interest rates have continued to climb in the meantime.

Andy helped to boost my confidence when I didn’t think I’d be able to get a mortgage on my sole income and given the current market. He exhausted the market to find the right lender for my needs and dealt with everything so quickly and efficiently, it was the least stressful mortgage process I’ve been through. Initially my partner and I were looking for a re-mortgage as we were purchasing a more expensive property. With both of us being self-employed, we needed someone who was experienced. Andy was highly recommend to us by my accountant.

Andrew uses his experience, knowledge and skill to give options. He explains everything in detail to ensure that his advice is clear and perfectly understood. He does his homework and he goes over and above any reasonable expectation. Since my first contact with Andrew, he and his team have handled a BTL mortgage and they are currently handling another re-mortgage for me. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Yes, Andrew was able to secure a mortgage with an alternative provider than the one we had at favourable rates, however, we didn't go ahead with the purchase.

What could they have done better?

Andrew got my BTL mortgage completed within 14 days; we think it's probably a record. There isn't anything that Andrew could have done better, I'm very grateful to him.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I first met Andrew in 2011 when I was purchasing a semi detached property which needed a lot of modernisation and he helped me not only with the mortgage, but he also helped me to secure a loan to afford the extensive work it needed on it too. I felt out of my depth with buying a property which needed a large amount of work doing and he gave me all the facts and the confidence to proceed.

How has Andrew Quinn helped you?

The mortgage and life insurance world is very tricky to navigate, and having an advisor like Andrew has been an absolute godsend. I call him my very own Martin Lewis, and his knowledge, especially regarding the mortgage sector has been invaluable over the many years I have been accessing his services. Also, being the main breadwinner in my family he also sorted out great life insurance should anything happen to me.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Andrew is the best at what he does and also helped me to move on to my next property in 2014, a property I wasn't sure I could afford, but had fallen in love with. This mortgage was a little bit more complicated as I still had the 2011 mortgage which I was locked into at the original property, but he helped me transfer the existing mortgage and secure another mortgage to get my dream home. Once the mortgage on my original house had run its term he then consolidated the loan amount to one lender. I don't believe I could have achieved this on my own.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Andrew always preempts your needs.
