Lisa has worked in Financial Services for more than 20 years. She started her career in pensions at Sun Alliance aged 16. Facing redundancy at aged 18, she moved into mortgages at Yorkshire Bank, where she first trained as a mortgage adviser at the tender age of 19. People questioned whether she would be successful at it so young. Would she be taken seriously? Having bought her own home at 19, she knew the process and quickly showed that she had the maturity and problem-solving expertise to go on to be very successful. After taking a year out to travel South East Asia, Australia, and the South Pacific, Lisa joined Leeds Building Society and completed her CeMAP qualifications. She then realised that working for a single company had its drawbacks, as it limited her capacity in securing best deals for her clients. So, at just 25 years old. she set up her own mortgage brokerage, working alongside local independent estate agents and by word of mouth in the Yorkshire area. Lisa then took a break from advising, opting to teach the next generation of advisors whilst she got married and had her two children, Dylan and Megan. She returned to advising in 2015, where she met the rest of the team at a large estate agency network. Lisa has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of mortgages and the house-buying process, as she also advises on and arranges both personal and property protection products. All other options available should be explored before choosing equity release.Interest is charged on both the original loan and the interest that has been added, the amount you owe will increase over time, reducing the equity left in your home potentially to nothing. Please discuss with your family and beneficiaries. Get help with everything from buying your first property, to remortgaging, or funding investment in property. Warning: YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE. Most Buy to Let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
