I have been a mortgage and protection adviser since 2003 having previously worked in investment banking in the City of London and also in financial education with the Institute of Financial Services. My particular areas of interest are mortgages, personal and business protection and general insurance. I received my Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 2005, and completed my diploma in advanced mortgage advice in 2017. My client base is very diverse ranging from young professionals just starting their financial planning journey to much older clients completing theirs. I work very closely with accountants, solicitors and independent financial advisers to help their clients realise their financial goals. It is an amazing privilege and responsibility to be a trusted adviser to so many clients, many of whom I'm now proud to call my friends. I believe the key to being a good adviser is to treat every client as an individual, and to respond to their needs in the most professional way possible. That means always answering their calls quickly, and delivering exactly what I promise, on time, every time. The ability to listen and connect with people is also very important. My spare time tends to revolve around my family and our two Westie terriers who we spoil terribly. I recognise how fortunate I am and try to give something back to my industry by passing on my experience and knowledge to new advisers and young people who want to join this amazing industry.
