I have known Alasdair for about 12 years and had started doing some business with him just before the world became a crazy place and finance became much more difficult to acquire. Alasdair was always professional and done his upmost to provide the most suitable product which met your needs. Alasdair works for himself and has survived that difficult period and is a credit to his industry and the advice he provides.

I have now retired and my wife and I are looking for a rental property in the central belt of Scotland to supplement our pension. I had no hesitation entrusting Alasdair to find us the correct product to allow us to move forward by using a Buy to Let mortgage with a deposit. As quite some time has passed since being involved with property in this way Alasdair went through all the current rules and regulations, which was most helpful.

Armed with the advice and knowledge Alasdair has provided we are currently looking for a property. We have missed one and presently awaiting the outcome of the second property offer we are making. This outcome is not down to Alasdair but I am confident once an offer is accepted we will be able to move forward with the mortgae product proposed to complete our purchase.
What could they have done better?
Past dealings and trust meant that I had no intentions of looking else where for a Financial Advisor. Alasdair has come through the worst financil crisis in my lifetime and being self employed he is obviously doing something right for his clients. I have no complaint and would just suggest you keep going what you are doing. It is nice to deal with a straight forward person who has your best interests at heart.

As I was betrayed and mistreated by the Royal Bank of Scotland after many years of being a loyal Business Customer and after presenting financial credentials the RBS still refused to help me expand my buy to let business. That prompted me to search for an honest and understanding Financial Adviser and after many weeks of searching plus recommendations from professionals I contacted PIF (Mr Alasdair Devine) and since then have never looked back.

Over the last 7 years Alasdair has helped me to change my Mortgage Product every 2 years - I have literally saved thousands of pounds on Mortgage Repayments which has been a massive help. This was then re-invested into my properties which in turn has helped to enhance my tenants' environment.

When I first met Mr Devine I had 4 objectives and I am glad to say that I have achieved said objectives in a clear and precise manner. The service provided was well above the service that I had expected.
What could they have done better?
Nothing as Mr Devine is proactive and constantly in touch with me from newsletters and email reminders well in advance to prompt me when renewals are due. Also, if I require any information regarding mortgages Mr Devine is always at the end of the telephone. I know that people may think that the telephone is an outdated mode of communication what with all business being done on the Internet Mr Devine is one of the very few professionals who will actually take the time and talk to you on the phone.
