What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Me and my husband were looking for our first home together and our situation was complex with one of us having adverse credit

How has Steven Lyons helped you?

Steven talked us through our options and really guided us every step of the way. No question was too much trouble to answer, he was never hard to get hold of and always had an avenue for every problem. He took the stress out of the process and with his brilliant system. We weren't aware exactly how much we could borrow and why, how one person having adverse credit affected a joint application, how different lenders criteria varied, whether you can have a mortgage in a sole name despite being married - amongst many other things. Steven closed the gaps in our knowledge and advised us on the best way forward.

Thanks to Steven we received our mortgage offer within a week of sending our application and we couldn't of been happier .

Looking for a mortgage advisor as first time buyers. Me and my girlfriend were looking to get a mortgage ready as we were looking at houses.

How has Steven Lyons helped you?

Steven helped with our mortgage application and was very patience during the whole process. We had many questions as we were first times buyers but Steven never rushed and was always on the other end of the phone if we needed him. We were always provided with insurance support and again Steven was very knowledgeable with this. We brought the property via modern auction so everything had to happen quickly and whenever we needed Steven to chase or call the lender or solicitor, he actioned this and always kept us in the loop. Steven uses Zoom and this was really convenient for us to save travel time but I'm sure he would be open to meeting other clients face-to-face.

Today we received an amazing phone call from Steven to say that our mortgage had been offered on our forever home. With my partner being self employed and myself on maternity leave, we thought obtaining a new mortgage would be next to impossible! Well how wrong were we! With the help of Steven he proved that infact we could obtain a new mortgage and with great ease as well! From the first email Steven has always been responsive and professional. We did all our appointments by zoom call at a time which was convient to us. I think both of our calls went on to around 9pm which was no problem at all to Steven as it what worked around my partners long working hours! Overall he made the whole experience seem so straight forward. We sent all of our documents over to him and it is clear how much experience he has as he was able to tell us what the mortgage people would question on, and what additional documents they would need. We can't thank you enough and would 100000% recommend anyone to use Steven for a quick and easily mortgage process !

We’re still in the very early stages of using Steven as a mortgage advisor but from the initial conversations Steven was very helpful with information, advised on costs clearly and helped with the next steps. I emailed Steven and he got back to me within 24hrs to see how he could help. Having not a lot of experience in this field I had a long list of questions that I wanted answering. Steven informed me this would be no problem and we set up a zoom meeting. Even though myself and husband are not looking at buying until next year, Steven still offered his services. We felt comfortable taking to Steven and felt he was very knowledgeable about the kinds of mortgages we could afford and answered all my many questions. All of this cost us nothing as the costs of covered by the company. We will not hesitate in calling The Mortgage Pride again in the future once we are in a position to buy.
