What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
Bought a new house that required a mortgage and re-mortgage a rental property. Also get life insurance.

our fixed rate was coming to an end and we wanted to reduce our overall term to pay the mortgage off quicker without incurring any charges

We reduced our mortgage by 4 years and the monthly payments are below our monthly budget, so we are very very pleased.
