What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Looking for a mortgage from an all of market advisor after having terrible experience with a previous advisor I found Craig.

How has Craig McBain helped you?

Craig managed to find us a really good deal even though we were a difficult case with lots of reasons why many lenders would not touch us. The whole process was relatively straight forward in the end and Craig and his team were amazing at chasing things up and keeping us informed.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes we have now been in our own home for just over a month after renting for just over 3 years thinking we would never get our own home again but massive thanks to Craig and Roberts McBain we are now home owners again happy in our forever home!

What could they have done better?

Craig was extremely professional and very friendly. He explained things thoroughly and in a way we could understand. I couldn’t rate their service highly enough as they have been excellent from start to finish. I will definitely be using Craig and recommending him again.

Looking to remortgage, This is the first time I have remortgaged and thought it would be helpful to seek the advice of a financial advisor.

How has Craig McBain helped you?

I explained to Craig all my requirements and this was all taken into consideration when considering new mortgage product. Craig was very thorough in every aspect and was very detailed with his information.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Since everything was clear from the start it made the process much easier and knowing that there was always someone to answer your questions. Nothing was inconvenient to Craig and the products he recommended were well researched and I believe that he managed to get a product that perhaps would not have been available to me. Everything went smoothly and ended successfully and in quick time.

What could they have done better?

I cannot fault the service from Craig and I would highly recommend his services. Friendly and professional.

He looked into the most suitable mortgage deal for me, liaised with the seller's agent and help with small issues that arouse. Buying a property is a stressful process especially if one is not used to people not responding promptly (solicitor and seller's agent). Having Craig's support was very comforting. He was the only person to explain the process in detail and to respond quickly to any, however silly, questions.

Craig responded quickly to my requests via email and provided very complete and well structured responses. He understood my requirements and quickly came back with a few options (and explanations for options that were not available). In the end I decided not to proceed at this stage, but would consider using Craig again.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was in the process of taking on a large mortgage, and the mortgage advisers at the banks were useless and didn't seem interested in helping ! Craig Mcbain was recommended by a close friend who had just used him a few months before and had nothing but praise for him.

Craig helped us to secure the large mortgage we needed to get into our dream home ! He worked tirelessly to find so many different mortgage options. It was then a case of picking the right one for us ! He really did work none stop on finding us the best mortgage possible ! Without his expertise and knowledge of the industry, there was no way we would of got this mortgage.

Yes, we are now in our dream home, which was not looking possible until Craig stepped in and got to work !.

In all honesty, I don't think there was anything that I could fault with Craig. He was very professional, always kept in contact, always on the phone if needed. It really was a fantastic experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend Craig to anybody looking for a new mortgage or to find a better deal on their current mortgage. I will be back In a couple of years to look at my current mortgage and see if Craig can find us a better deal !!!

I needed a remortgage and self employed income and other aspects at the time made this more difficult thank I thought it would be. Needed guidance on how to best put things forwards to get best rate.

I've used Craig's services when I needed a mortgage. He helped me in 2007 and in 2015, both times finding me a mortgage that fit my requirements.

How has Craig McBain helped you?

Craig has extensive knowledge of the mortgage market and has been able to advise me on my options, offer helpful pointers and find me a deal that works. He's also very easy to talk to and efficient with following up on the various stages of the application process.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Definitely. Craig has successfully helped me twice now and I'll have no hesitation in using his services again next time I need a mortgage or some financial advice.

I'm not sure he could have improved much on his service to be honest. When I was looking for a mortgage in 2015 I also contacted a couple of other brokers to see what they could offer, but Craig was the most responsive and helpful by some margin.
