Caron Rockey

Caron Rockey has been a Director/Partner at Martyn Prowel Solicitors since 2000, having worked here since 1996 when the company formed, and qualifying as a solicitor in 1992. Caron initially specialised in civil litigation and thereafter personal injury. She represents clients across a range of civil work to include civil litigation, personal injury and medical negligence. She acts for both claimants and defendants, businesses and individuals in contract disputes and professional negligence claims amongst other matters. As a director Caron has encouraged the firm to consider its social responsibility through charity work and has fostered a longstanding equal opportunities policy. She has for many years been a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is a long-standing member of the Law Society’s specialist Personal Injury Panel. Some of her most notable work is in acting for a group of clients who are pursuing claims as a result of being fitted with a defective hip manufactured by DePuy. Caron was shortlisted for the Woman Lawyer of the Year Award in the Law Society Excellence Awards in 2015. This is as, in addition to achieving professional excellence in her field, she has achieved significant results for the benefit of society, and has been recognised as an inspiring and influencing individual for other female solicitors in pursuit of careers in law.
