Mike Ferrie was recently asked what it was that he had to offer that was different from other firms of solicitors and his answer was typically direct: “Some people go to bigger firms because their corporate identity provides some kind of reassurance and stability. I understand that can be important, people will pay for that and good luck to those who do. But I never heard of anyone praising the office décor as being instrumental in the context of a two-year long child contact case! "For myself, the one word I keep getting back over the years from my clients is ‘humanity’ and I don’t think you can win that description from just attending the latest course in family law! "I haven’t asked clients to say that about me but it is just a word which several people have repeated until, it chimed.. It means a great deal to me and I’d much rather have that carved on my gravestone than say, ‘presented well’!”
