View locationI am a pragmatic and approachable solicitor advocate with extensive contentious and non-contentious experience within a range of commercial businesses from SME’s to multinationals as well as individuals (including healthcare professionals and police officers). I founded the firm in Leeds in 2011 because I wanted to provide clients with high quality legal advice, on time, on budget and in a personal and supportive manner. The experience I have gained in both a national and regional employment law practice enables me to do just that! I can quickly grasp complex legal issues and this has led my client’s describing my advocacy skills as being “invaluable for a pain free victorious day in court”. I speak fluent Urdu and French and I am currently learning Turkish so can communicate with a wide range of clients. To owner-managers, I say: “running my own legal practice enables me to understand the daily trials and tribulations for commercial businesses. So I always put together cost effective packages to enable owner-managers to protect their business, an example of this is myHR Plus, our outsourced HR & Employment Law Service. The question that I ask all businesses is, can you afford to be without us?” I am a member of the Leeds Law Society, Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and Yorkshire and Humber Tribunal Users Group. I also undertakes pro bono work with the ELA and Leeds Community Enterprise (ELSIE for short). In my spare time I am an avid runner and ran the London Marathon in 2007 raising over £1,700 for 'Get Kids Going'. I regularly participates in the 'Race for Life' and ran the Leeds Half Marathon in May 2012. I also enjoy the theatre, cooking, art and travelling.
