I am a Resolution-accredited Associate in the Family team at Slater Heelis. I help separating couples deal with the many issues that arise following the breakdown of a relationship, both in relation to divorce/civil partnership dissolution and children. I practise exclusively in family law with a particular emphasis on complex financial cases, often with multi-jurisdictional elements (international) and those involving business interests, trusts and pensions. I have extensive experience in cases involving children disputes and also advise unmarried couples in relation to cohabitation issues and prenuptial agreements. I am a committee member of Resolution, whose 6,500 members comprise family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Members adhere to a code of practice which promotes a non-confrontational approach to family disputes. Members also encourage solutions which consider the needs of the whole family and, in particular, the best interests of children. I comment on family law issues in both national and local media. I have been quoted in The Telegraph and have been interviewed on Radio 5 Live. I frequently write for legal and non-legal publications on family law issues, including online support tools for other family lawyers for whom I also deliver lectures.
