Jon's emails were very helpful, but he has suggested that we may need to see a lawyer or financial adviser in the first place. I appreciate his honesty. If we subsequently need a chartered accountant, we will very likely use Jon.

it is now 7 days on and there has been no contact. How can we give a feed back if we have not been contacted in the first place. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I was looking for some assistance producing my end of year tax statement for HMRC. I'd kept relatively up together records, but wanted to spend my time doing what I was best at - the work - and find a professional to advise, review and submit my tax return.

How has Jon Green helped you?

After some initial conversations over email, we met in person and talked through my needs and circumstances. Throughout, Jon was pleasant, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and constantly suggesting things that I wasn't aware of, that I needed to be. He has also helped manage to the process back into employment after the initial one off work we've done together and we've continued to converse about things of interest to both of us. I couldn't have asked for more.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Absolutely, I had very little 'work' to do to get my tax return filed, and have been ably assisted at every step of the way.

What could they have done better?

I honestly can't think of anything that Jon could have done more for me, based on my needs. A totally satisfied customer.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I was looking for someone who used the Xero accountancy package and was competitively priced. He came highly recommended via my daughter who runs a sailing events business in the Solent.

How has Jon Green helped you?

He is very approachable and replies promptly to any queries you may have. I operate a monthly standing order with Jon for his services which helps with overall cash flow as it spreads the cost over the year.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Jon has exceeded my expectations. Compared to my previous experiences with accountants, I have found Approved Accountancy a breathe of fresh air. It has been a pleasure doing business with them and would not hesitate to recommend them.

What could they have done better?

I have been dealing with Jon for 3 years now and have yet to find fault with the service or advice provided to my company.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I was looking for a local chartered accountant that was using Xero and who had knowledge of forming a business and the technology tax relief for tech startups.

How has Jon Green helped you?

Jon has taken care of all the VAT/Company/Personal returns and I've never had to rush last-minute to file anything because they have given me reminders well in advance. My accounting burden is reduced to a stress-free clicks of a few buttons and I just have to confirm figures. He setup rules for me so it automatically reconcile 90% of the transactions so it feels like I have a free book-keeper. The only transactions that not automatically reconciled are the ones that are random like buying PC parts from Amazon. Jon pings me on Skype to remind me of an upcoming return and I have to do is either confirm the amount is correct or reconcile my latest cash flow in their online system - which is a very simple process involving a few button clicks.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

My first year of business has been so smooth because of them. I have never had any stresses due to return deadlines and I am really happy that they have looked after my accounting affairs so well. I am glad that I used Jon over Crunch as he is chartered and is always the point of contact where with Crunch - you get different account managers who are not chartered and they won't be able to help when the accounting gets complicated (different currencies, 2nd homes, tech tax reliefs, etc).

What could they have done better?

Jon's service is already perfect for me so there's nothing that could have been better. The only constructive suggestion that I can think of is that it would be helpful if their system could automatically alert me when my current dividend/salary allocations are not tax efficient anymore when rates change. Just a "nice-to-have" feature.
