My wife and I had a good meeting with Kevin. Kevin was kind enough to offer refreshments before conducting a relaxed and informative meeting where Kevin took on board all our pension/financial issues and got the ball rolling to investigate a financial plan which would suit us. All costs were discussed at the meeting. We have agreed to use Kevin's services as we have confidence in him . He knows the financial world and we are happy to have selected him to conduct our financial affairs.

Kevin was extremely friendly & accommodating. He jumped on a consultation call with me with short notice and was very personable & informative, He explained everything to me clearly and precisely. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was approaching early retirement with a number of choices required to exit from my employer and invest for the future

How has Kevin Owens helped you?

Kevin helped me (and my wife) understand the process of establishing a portfolio in the market and how to maximise our joint finance position whilst we both exit from work at different times.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We have only completed our first year of investment so too early to conclude an outcome. I am confident however that Kevin has set us up with investments appropriate to our respective risk appetite for the future.

What could they have done better?

I am content with the work done to date with Kevin. He is accessible and helpful so no areas identified for improvement so far!. Kevin is now working for his own company having transitioned since I started with him which may be put off new clients however I'd suggest you go along and have a chat then decide.

I needed to figure out how to save for retirement, being employed for 12 years and then self employed for 6 years at 35 I realised I needed to get on top of it now before it became a problem.

How has Kevin Owens helped you?

Kevin discussed my budget for saving and living. took the figures and gave me a projection of what I would have to retire on and when based on the saving value. he also directed me towards the most tax efficient way to do things along with mitigation for other plans that may occur and balancing this out. Kevin also took on board ISA savings for my son to set him up far better than I would otherwise with my own knowledge or amateur advice. Because of this my son will be in a great place for affording a first house comfortably. Kevin has also continued to help even after the payments made etc to speak to old pension providers and sort things out into far more detail than I had expected.

I have had 2 other financial advisors since 2014, neither of which have ever offered me advice re. when I can financially afford to retire or what I need to do to facilitate this. Both only ever advised me to investment in the financial products that they were selling, which at the time I assumed was going to be of help to me retiring early.... Kevin is the only financial advisor I have dealt with that actually tried to sort out if & when I could afford to retire, and what I need to do to facilitate this.

Nothing I can think of. He was professional and helpful, dropping off documents direct to my home to second guess postal issues during an unusual year.

We required insurance for a business loan that we were taking out.

Kevin took time to understand the cover that we required in relation to the loan that we were taking. In particular, we needed the cover in place at very short notice and Kevin worked really hard to push this through for us.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My wife and I had investments and my wife had a pension plan in place with a large Glasgow based Wealth Management company for a number of years and although the funds invested had performed well, in the last few years, we noticed that the customer service being provided was well below that which we would have expected. As a result of this poor service, we lodged a complaint with the company and ultimately removed our investments, sought and took advice from Kevin and invested our funds and pension plan with Strathayr.

How has Kevin Owens helped you?

Kevin gave us advice in an easily understandable manner (In honesty, it needs to be for me!) and his knowledge of Financial planning is impressive and gives us confidence that we have made a sound decision. In addition, we were given a competitive rate for Kevin’s services and advice and we are very happy.

The funds which we invested have performed well since invested with Strathayr via Kevin until the very recent slump caused by the Corona Virus pandemic which has affected all financial markets. Kevin has given us advice with regard to this situation and we are confident that the advice he has given is sound.

In view of and in comparison to our previous experience of poor customer service with another Wealth Management company, Kevin’s advice and customer service has been outstanding and I feel he could do no more.
