Emily was clear and gave me all the advice I requested in a format that worked for me. She was also clear in what she couldn’t advise on. In terms of engagement, this was face to face and then via teams. I received a full written report with projections included. Emily also gathered all of the information from my various pension advisors and collated those so I have everything related to my finance in one report. She also pointed out how I could work with my pension scheme to manage my investments, that was not clear before. Emily is very personable and excellent for people like me who have no real idea of the workings behind pensions and investments.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Definitely, I have far more information now than I could have hoped for, plus , a validation of my own workings on my retirement fundings.

What could they have done better?

For me, with straightforward needs , I can’t find anything for this box.

I wanted to set up Trust Funds for my 3 grandchildren for when they reach 21 years old.

How has Emily Pool helped you?

Emily was extremely helpful, in that she was happy to see us face to face whenever we needed to, and she was always available on email and phone calls. She researched everything for us and and saw us face to face to explain it all. It was quite a complicated and took longer than we thought it would, but Emily was determined to achieve the result needed!

Spent a long time gathering information and speaking to us, provided us with detailed reports and suggestions and projections. Emily is helping is move existing pension pots into more beneficial and suitable ones and has helped us work out how to hopefully reduce future financial deficits after retirement. We are in discussion regarding savings too.

Our pensions have been applied for and we look forward to possibly opening savings accounts where we can enjoy watching money progress.

Emily first helped me with ISA investment and then helped me consolidate my various pensions and invest my pension sharing credits from my divorce settlement. Throughout, the service and advice was readily given and always timely, efficient and easy to understand be that in person, over the phone or by e-mail. Options and risks were clearly explained and assessed and recommendations were made with a long term view. Emily acts in a truly professional manner and I feel like my financial affairs are in very safe hands.

Emily from PFS was professional in every manner, appointments were arranged around my busy schedule which was extremely helpful, Emily would explain all the documentation thoroughly along with providing an example portfolio for the chosen policy along with the companies literature, I would highly recommend Emily & PFS.

On my first conversation with Emily, she was polite, informative and very clear about the services she can provide, what she could help me with and understanding how any charges are incurred. I have no knowledge in the areas I needed help with and I wanted to understand how to progress with a few things. Emily has helped me with these and provided additional documentation. Emily has gone above and beyond with supplying information on the subjects we discussed. I was unhappy with the advise from my existing financial planner, and I wanted to find a more friendly and helpful firm. I found myself in a bit of a mess and was really not sure how much pension I had, where it was invested or what was happening with it really. I reached the age of 61 and I knew that I needed to get my retirement planning sorted and Emily was super helpful. She took all of my paperwork, worked it all out, communicated with me in simple terms about what was going on with my pension and what the next steps should be. I am so relieved that I am now back in control and hope to retire just as soon as I can.

Emily helped me invest my pension sharing credits after my divorce. It was a difficult time for me but Emily was brilliant at putting me at ease and making me feel in control.
