I began my career in the City of London working for Investment Fund Managers Sun Life and later Alliance Capital, an American firm. I guess I was following in my Dad’s footsteps as he was a fund manager for many years. This came to a stop when a hobby of mine became a bit more than just a hobby and I moved up to Yorkshire to join a brass band (seriously, no joke!). Whilst in Yorkshire I took my Financial Planning Certificate and worked for Scottish Equitable as a broker consultant (as well as playing the cornet). Eventually I met my wife and after a brief, nine month tour of the world, decided to move back down to the South of England. I had spells working for Scottish Life and Clerical Medical as a senior consultant. I decided that I wanted to become self employed in 2005 and joined my brother in the Openwork network. I met Mike Cooke during this time and we worked well together on a number of projects before deciding to join forces at Enable in 2007. I am continuing to study towards achieving chartered status. I live in Saffron Walden with my wife Lynne and two daughters. I still play the cornet and teach it in my spare time. I love all sports, playing five-a-side football regularly and generally trying to keep fit. I enjoy being outdoors and love taking the family hiking in the Lakes. It would be even better if they enjoyed it too! I enjoy keeping in touch with old friends and also making new ones
