I've enjoyed our calls as Dan seems to have quickly understood my needs and risk appetite. He is a good communicator and thorough in his follow up.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We inherited some money from my mum when she died

We discussed the amount of money we had and our beliefs regarding ethical and environmental considerations

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes it was great advice and frequent regular updates

What could they have done better?

No not in my opinion but I have no knowledge of investments

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I am currently retired. I had a number of independent and different pension pots. I wanted to consolidate these and needed help to make wise investment decisions. I investigated, among others, The Private Office and was attracted by their open and attractive approach and business ethics. I had a very good experience with an advisor from TPO, working through an analysis of my pensions, assets and financial needs. The outcome was the consolidation of my pensions and a properly managed way forward by TPO. The advisor moved on at the start of this year, since when Dan Alder has taken over as my advisor.

How has Dan Alder helped you?

Dan has seamlessly taken over as my advisor. He is really friendly, helpful, thorough and professional in every way. I have much appreciated the clarity in his presentation and explanations of my finances and pensions, along with the actions that will follow.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, good outcomes - in taking over my account, an in the progression of my financial planning needs for my retirement years.

What could they have done better?

Nothing so far - my June 2025 review and actions that will follow were very good.

Had an initial conversation and arranged a follow up meeting at a time and date of Dan’s choosing. Dan then cancelled that meeting at short notice saying he was really busy before tax year end. And then nothing. No contact or rearranged meeting. Very poor service.

Kept me up to date with latest changes to pension / inheritance tax rules. Annual review of pension investments and future strategy on using tax free allowance.
