My introduction to TPO and where their expertise lies was explained extremely well to me by Laura during our telephone conversation recently.

I had an initial appointment phone call with Laura. She is very knowledgeable, listened and understood my needs quickly and accurately and gave me very useful advice. Highly recommended!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to consolidate various pensions. Having looked at reviews and various recommendations I chose TPO.

How has Laura McLean helped you?

I have a better understanding of risk appetite and pension fund investments. She also advised on what I need to plan for in terms of expecting a certain monthly income, and what variables are involved .

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

So far the fund is performing as expected and the annual meetings with Laura are helpful in knowing what the current fund looks like and whether we need to adjust in risk investment and consider putting more into the current workplace pension.

What could they have done better?

Not much to complain about other than the higher charge, which is made up for with the annual , detailed , reviews with Laura.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

After my previous trusted advisor emigrated I was unsure about new service providers. I had a bad experience with the individual who took over his business and self-managed through HL for a long time. Eventually I took to unbiased.co.uk and they recommended Laura. Initially sceptical I met her and she convinced me to trust her - THE BEST DECISION I MADE!

How has Laura McLean helped you?

She has listened! No small detail is too small and she has recommended and challenged my thinking, all backed up with logic and clear insight into the best avenue to follow.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

better - I have always believed to trust myinstincts, back yourself and make informed choices. With Laura I can still do that but I realised very promptly that I am still child in a room full of adults. What a learning curve and what an experience.
