About
Haydon has worked in financial services since the early 1990s and during that time has provided bespoke, ethical financial advice to many clients all over the UK, some with deep knowledge and concerns about the issues at hand such as climate change and ecology academics, eco-architects, human rights lawyers, senior NHS employees and consultants, and charity employees and trustees, but others with no such specialist knowledge, but who are equally keen to do the right thing. Haydon benefits from having both a natural, intuitive understanding of maths and numbers, enabling him to ‘see’ solutions to even the most complex client circumstances, as well as a friendly, communicative approach with people, which helps put them at ease, get to the heart of what they are really trying to achieve, and enables him to explain his recommendations and wider advice in such a way that even the most math-resistant clients understand what’s going on! On more than one occasion he has been told that he should consider becoming a maths or economics teacher if financial advice is no longer for him. Maybe in another life! He set up Good Green Money as he truly believes in the power of good, people using their money in the right way to look after themselves whilst simultaneously looking after other people and the planet. His years of experience and learning in the multifaceted world of personal finance coupled with a keen appreciation of the wider ecological, political, economic and social issues that we all have to face on a daily basis, made him ideally placed to run such a business.
