I had recently retired and needed advice to sort out my various pensions from the different companies I had worked for over the years.

How has Kate Boon helped you?

She has consolidated the various pensions into one investment account while taking into account my wishes.

Basically yes apart from recent world events which have affected the performance of the investment. The market has begun to recover and over the long term I am hopeful the fund will do well.

Kate helps look after our financial wellbeing and when we have our annual review, Kate explains everything in a way that is easy to follow and understand. Kate is a very likeable person who makes you feel important and not just simply 'a client'. The regular emails of advice on various financial topics are also very informative and useful

Yes, our savings have done better under Kates guardianship, than it would have done in regular type savings accounts

I had 3 pensions, which were worth quite a large amount of money, but the pension companies were offering poor cash free lump sums and monthly payments.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to talk to someone with experience in pensions and future planning and also my mortgage was coming up for renewal so asked Kate to help as sometimes it feels like a minefield of information, which is hard to understand. I have three existing pensions and Kate looked into each one and explained them clearly and which were 'good ones' making good returns and others that were weaker and advised accordingly. Also Covd19 had affected our income and so was good to talk to Kate about possible options to make our money 'work harder for us' during these times.

How has Kate Boon helped you?

Kate brought lots of clear advice and options to the table on pensions and various mortgage offers based on my personal situation today and projecting into two years time when financial situation might change. (We might have the funds available from a property we are selling separate to our main home) Kate has an excellent understanding of all kinds of mortgage products available on the market and understand the pros, cons, and benefits of each product.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes we decided on a mortgage with excellent rate which will see us over the next two years, fixed low rate, Then in two years when we have more funds we can reassess our financial situation again at that point. Its great to know Kate will be around to help us again then. I also sorted out some business insurance which put our minds at rest.

What could they have done better?

I wanted to say the whole experience working with Kate to find solutions was painless. My wife and I saw Kate prior to my retirement in 2013. We had previously used Kate for mortgage advice and were happy to include our pension advice with her too

Kate explained everything in layman's terms making everything easy to follow and understand. Kate is not pushy or trying to "sell" to you. You do feel that she cares about your financial wellbeing.

Kate gave us a range of options to choose from. She was extremely knowledgeable and able to put us at ease. Kate addressed all our concerns and gave us options we didn't know existed.

Yes we are both able to retire knowing we have someone looking after the finances. Kate has given us the confidence to take the final step and actually retire, which was a frightful worrying time before getting her solid advice. Kate is a warm and very knowledgable person, who put us at ease immediately upon meeting her for the first time. My wife and I had numerous pensions, shares etc but we didn’t have any idea how to utilise them effectively. Kate guided us through the pension mine field and provided us with a plan to efficiently and effectively use our pensions to our benefit. Since our first meeting she has kept us up to date with every transfer and transaction, this has enabled us to retire with no monetary worries. The first time, was through a recommendation from friends regarding Kate and mortgage advice. We stayed in touch through this and then Kate advised me initially when I retired as a Police officer, and a year later my wife too when she retired from the NHS
