I was approaching retirement and knew that my financial knowledge was not sufficient to allow me to make the best choices to optimise my security and income.

We moved to the area just over 10 years ago and wanted financial advice from a local independent financial advisor.

Pieter and the team at William Highbourne have been terrific. Not just my wife and I but all the members of the wider family, all of whom have slightly different financial planning needs. In our case, it was making preparations for retirement as well as providing a savings and investment strategy to provide additional income in older age, as well as possible inheritance planning.

Pieter has certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Being a local independently owned business we feel really valued as a client (as do the other members of the family who use Pieter and the team for financial planning advice), and Pieter has always adapted the advice/products as our circumstances have subtly changed over the last 10 years. The advice we have received is always delivered in a friendly and knowledgeable way, following extensive dialogue with Pieter to ensure he understands what we are trying to achieve, and he always provides a number of different solutions for us to consider, that satisfy the outcomes we are seeking..

I needed help sorting and managing my parents share portfolio.

He sorted out the confusing paperwork and old share certificates, advising me how to proceed and secure a steady income for their long term care needs, which were substantial. After their death, he’s advising my family .
