Initially to discuss the benefits or otherwise of greater flexibility by transferring my Bank pensions onto a SIPP.

Simply put, yes.

What could they have done better?

My portfolio is very widely spread and I don’t believe there is anything material that they could have done better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

When I retired from Work in 2018.

How has Dean McSloy helped you?

Dean has explained the risk and rewards of investing in equity shares and other investment assets. He has also advised on share transfers to minimise my CGT exposure. Along with Pension transfers and the ways to maximise our state pensions.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Investing in equity shares does not always give you the returns you want in a year, especially given the exception circumstances that the world has seen over the last 5 years. However overall I am satisfied with the returns that I have achieved on the advice of Dean. His advice on CGT and on our state pensions has also saved us money.

What could they have done better?

This is difficult to answer because we all would like to make more money from our investments but being realistic about this shows the comparison against the tracker. If the updates to website for the monthly fact sheets was automated it would make them more timely.
