What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had breached the life time allowance for my pension in the UK and wanted to discuss options as I am now a non resident.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to consolidate multiple defined benefit & defined contribution pensions into a single product,  and as an expat living in Australia,  needed to find the right solution in the short to long term with flexibility to transfer between countries at low cost in the future.

I had a non performing QROPS and wanted other opinions on growth strategies. I also had some banking needs as an expat regarding savings and investments.

How has Jessica Cook helped you?

Jessica was able to review my current QROPS and investments and present me with a strategy what was easy to understand and one which was transparent regarding potential returns, fees and expectations. It is rare to find such a good communicator able to provide simple answers to questions while I did my due diligence. The financial advice world is in need of more people with Jessica’s skill set.

I was concerned about the security of existing pension plans, which were split over several schemes, and I also moved out of the UK.

How has Jessica Cook helped you?

Jessica spent a number of meetings evaluating my position, and the transfer values of my existing pension schemes. Also gained a good mutual understanding and evaluation of my risk profile, and we spent some time assessing the benefits of retaining existing schemes, moving to SIPPS. This included a full review of the cost structures of various schemes. Since inception I have had regular updates on the chosen scheme progress, and a couple of changes have been made to the investment structures to optimise and realign.

The outcomes have been acceptable and in line with the projections given. Since starting the scheme four years ago markets have been fairly volatile, but the plan is meeting mid-line expectations.

Around 6 years ago I had various savings accounts with different organizations and in different country's and I wanted to organize them to maximize there potential in preparation for my retirement. More recently I needed advice with applying for my military pension (a partial pension from service with the Royal Navy in the 1970's and 80's)

After our initial review of my financial assets, Jessica presented me with several unbiased options based on my requirements and with Jessica's common sense approach and excellent advice we chose the portfolio that suited my requirements of which is periodically reviewed to match current market conditions .
