What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My partner and I felt it was ready to begin house hunting as we had reached our deposit target. Before we started the search we sought to get a mortgage in principle agreed.

Paul has been outstanding in assisting us with the mortgage process. Through calls and emails, he went in depth to explain absolutely everything to do with mortgages, interest rates, etc. With my partner and I’s circumstances, Paul found the best deal for us.

What could they have done better?

Nothing - they provided a swift and thorough service which we are so thankful for. The mortgage process could’ve been a lot of stressful had we went elsewhere.

Greeted by Paul and immediately felt at ease. He was friendly and professional and introduced us to Cathy whom I had spoken with when she contacted me to arrange our appointment - she was also very friendly and professional. We spent an hour with Paul and during our time with him he was extremely informative and spoke to us clearly about a variety of options available to us in relation to our questions and uncertainty around our pensions. We completed our appointment and are very confident on the next steps - it was great to speak with a professional who explained options at a level that was completely understandable - a far cry from previous conversations with other financial advisors who spoke to us using language that was hard to understand. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We were looking to get a mortgage for our first home bit wanted to know where we stood financially. A friend directed us to Commodore Finance and we haven't looked back since. With their advice we were able to secure a mortgage and purchase our first home within months of looking.

They supported us throughout the entire process if there was something that concerned us or we weren't too sure on they would explain it to us.

We have secured the mortgage to our first home and this was within our budget.
