He was friendly and approachable. He paid attention to our needs and he was clear about the role that he could play in helping us. He was also clear about the responsibilities that he would have toward us, and what information he would need from us. It was only a first meeting, but both felt like he was someone we could work with and trust.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
My late husband and I initially contacted Alex for advice concerning his pension and savings options
How has Alex Hatfield helped you?
Alex has been fantastic all the way, particularly since my husband's death when I needed a lot of help navigating the seemingly overwhelming process of sorting our affairs. He is approachable, straight talking and I have every confidence that he is always acting in my best interests.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?
Around 6 years ago I needed professional advice about the merits and risks of transferring out of a DB company pension scheme into a SIPP
How has Alex Hatfield helped you?
Alex completed a detail financial analysis and long term forecast of several possible options, explored my attitude to risk, retirement expectations and time frame. He also gave very good answers and explanations to the many questions that I raised. At the conclusion, I felt that I was able to make a very well informed decision on transferring into a SIPP, which was then set up by The Private Office. Over the past 6 years Alex has continued to provide excellent advice about the investments within my SIPP and about my wider financial plans for the future.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
I have been delighted with the advice provided by Alex over the last 6 years and I have been very pleased with the performance of the portfolio of investments that he recommended.
What could they have done better?
There have previously been a few minor administrative issues (eg - the late provision of meeting records) but these have now been resolved.
