Having worked in financial services for 31 years, I am able to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role as a financial planner. I am qualified up to the elite level as a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and been listed in VouchedFor’s Top Rated Financial Adviser Guide for four years running. The main areas I can help include: • Making the most of investments and savings • Retirement planning advice – including planning for early retirement • Advice at retirement – the mechanics of retirement and clearing outlining the benefits and limitations of different options • Protecting family and loved ones • Inheritance Tax planning and planning for future generations Retirement planning and providing advice around occupational pension schemes are a specialism. I was privileged to have been previously short-listed for the Women in Financial Advice Awards within the Retirement Planning category. My clients include many medical professionals, and I have particular expertise in dealing with cases involving the NHS pension scheme as well as other public sector pensions. Part of my role is working with clients looking to retire after building a successful business. Business owners don't always have the time to think about exit strategy and how they will profit from leaving a company that they’ve built. Will the business be worth enough to fuel retirement? Here I can help them to explore their options and implications of differing financial settlements, how best manage their wealth, and achieve financial security. Typically, financial planning starts pre-settlement, and Attivo can help clients and their legal team to consider and arrive at a fair and appropriate capital settlement. My leisure time is spent largely with my family, my garden and keeping fit. I am enamoured with my new greenhouse, and find nurturing my plants, as wells as exercise, helps to counterbalance the effects of being sat at a desk during the day.
