My first meeting with April was very reassuring, considering I'm looking for long-term financial advice. She was excellent in making it clear on what I'm getting into in terms of commitment, fees and (most importantly to me) that I'm getting independent advice and not biased towards any one company. April was very professional, yet friendly and approachable. I'm looking forward to my next meeting with her, which I assume at this point, will be valuable.

Comprehensive explanation of the set up of the company, what she can offer and how much it is likely to cost. Very easy to understand and get along with.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed advice on how to consolidate and proceed with two sets of personal defined contribution savings.

How has April Leeson helped you?

Both sets of savings were transferred into a SIPP.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I have taken some tax free cash and I hope the SIPP will perform at least satisfactorily.

What could they have done better?

Transferring the money from one of my savings companies was extremely long drawn out and frustrating. Communication was poor and unprofessional. I must stress that April was not personally handling these transactions, but the experience did make me question my choice of TPO at the time.
