While I feel that I have a very good understanding of my personal finances and goals, I wanted to ensure that I was on the right path and had someone I trusted looking after me. I also wanted to understand what my income in retirement might look like, and to be honest, more importantly if it was going to run out.

How has Robyn Caffell helped you?

Robyn has been wonderful to deal with, she is very interested in my goals, dreams and attitudes to loss. She used the amazing Intelligent Pensions tool that showed our financial affairs, what would happen if one of us unfortunately died and how long our money would last. It gave us a lot of reassurance that we are on the right path and will have the financial future we want. It also meant that we understood that my husband could retire early and has given us a lot of comfort and confidence.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

100%, despite challenging markets, the team has keep us informed of what is going on, how it impacts our portfolios and how the investment team are making decisions to minimise losses. Given I have worked with Robyn since before covid, there have been a lot of investment challenges, but I really understand how and where my portfolio is invested and am very happy with the plan we have in place.

What could they have done better?

I am not sure if there is an investment app for Intelligent Pensions, but that would be useful.

My wife and I were looking to retire about 5 years ago and were introduced to Robyn by our financial adviser.Robyn came and met us in Cornwall where we lived at the time and we spent some time explaining our plans and explore how she could help us achieve them

Following on from our initial discussion she showed us various examples of how we could afford to retire,including the most cost effective way we could take monies from our savings,investments and of course our pensions.This included making the best use of our tax allowances and making sure we had enough to live comfortably for many years to come.

Yes,we have been able to draw down our pensions and limit our tax liability and at the same time making sure that our pensions maintain an element of growth so that it shouldn’t run out

Yes Intelligent Pensions has done me proud we have a few. trough’s but overall I am happy with the said company.

What could they have done better?

My visits from Robyn I find a lot better than zoom so to that end keep the visit in place please. Keep the news letters coming. I think things are okay .

I have used a financial adviser for decades!

Given me very good advice on what to do with my pension pot, plus an assessment of my financial situation and my attitude to risk, all of which help me greatly at my time of life.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, with acknowledgement of the uncertain state of the markets in recent years which has, as expected, limited the growth of my funds.

What could they have done better?

Nothing really, except a face-to-face consultation my have helped.
