I needed advice on where to place funds from a pension transfer and investments.

The sudden death of my husband. I had no financial prowess and needed a financial adviser to ensure financial security going forward.

Claire‘s help has been immeasurable, I had no experience of dealing with finances and would have found it impossible to deal with any of the policies my husband left without the help of Claire.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, the outcome I personally was hoping for was confidence in the person I entrusted my finances with, to relieve any anxiety and have peace of mind. I have achieved all three with Claire.

What could they have done better?

Absolutely nothing, as far as I’m concerned Claire has ticked all boxes. She is professional, bright, eloquent and empathetic. Additionally, I have 100% confidence in Claire to manage my finances.

I was unhappy with the Financial Adviser I was with, as they failed to provide any advice and/or assistance.

Claire assessed my financial assets quickly and provided easy to understand information and advice, allowing me to make an easy decision regarding my financial future.

There is nothing that Claire could have done better.

Substantial pension lump and voluntary redundancy payments.

Claire helped me and my wife identify appropriate, risk-based investment opportunities and helped us understand why they made sense for us.

Some of the terminology is complex and the only improvement I can think of is taking a bit more time to explain some of that.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Our primary need was to know our pension investments were being monitored and to get feedback on forecasting to get an idea of how realistic our retirement plan was. At that point no one had looked at our pensions for 15 yrs and it was spread over 7 different pension pots

How has Claire Marston helped you?

Helped consolidate all our pensions into one pot and invest them in a portfolio that suited our risk profile. Then produced retirement forecasts and advised what we need to be paying in in order to meet our target retirement date. Also helped with ISA's, ensuring national insurance contributions are up to date, reviewing life insurance (putting them in trust), and mortgage advice.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, we feel reassured that our investments are being looked after, doing well and that we have a retirement plan that is feasible.

What could they have done better?

Nothing comes to mind, very happy with the service.
