The financial adviser that I was using sold his business and there was no personal service from the purchaser.

Very clear communication and back up support regarding various forms.

What could they have done better?
ESG and approach to climate change within savings and pensions is an increasingly important consideration for many individuals. It's no longer just a view of personal values or ethics but potentially a considerable driver of future investment outcomes. I feel that the IFA networks are making moves in this area but I also suspect we'll see more rapid change in the coming years.

We regularly benchmark our fees and are very competitive in a profession where there is a large variance between different firms ranging from the 'value' end to the 'extremely expensive' side. I have recently come across a case where the overall ongoing fees were over 3.3% whereas the majority of our clients pay between 1.0% and 1.5% overall ongoing. We have taken action to save this client over £6,000 p.a. in fees alone.

We were approaching retirement and knew that we were not well organised in terms of having lots of different funds and plans. We had a need to get all the funds properly organised and managed efficiently. We actually found Andrew on the Vouched For website.

HE HAS DONE EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE ASKED OF HIM,MAYBE A FULLER EXPLANATION OF HOW INVESTMENT COMPANIES MAKE UP THEIR FEES,ALTHOUGH THE COMPANIES THEMSELVES DO PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION,IT IS SOMETIMES A LITTLE DIFFICULT FOR US TO FULLY UNDERSTAND.

Andrew was very good at explaining the various investment options available, he took time to make sure that I fully understood the investments and the risks associated inline with my personal preference, should it be high, moderate or low risk, long or short term investment. During my appointment, I felt relaxed and under no pressure to make any decisions. I was given the information to consider prior my next appointment. He left his telephone and email address should I have any questions or concerns.
What could they have done better?
I really cannot think of anything more he could do to improve his advice.

I've been using Andrew for the last 15 years first with HSBC, latterly with with Lift Finanncial and now in his own business DePledge. During that time I've witnessed him grow and develop his skills and understanding of what is a complex and ever changing requirement and how my ownrequirement relates to this. His proposals are backed by sound reasoning and suppoted by quantative evidence particularly on fund performance.Our reviews are timely and my account has ben well managed during these recent difficult times.
What could they have done better?
The administrative resource supporting Adrew has on some occasions been slow to implement decisions taken at our review meetings.I understand this is being addressed as part of the structure of the new company, Depledge.
